My credit card is expiring. What should I do?
When your auto payment card is due to expire, you normally don't have to do anything. Our system will retain your card number and automatically extend your card expiry date by 2 or 3 years. This is because most financial institutions will continue to use the same card number and expiry month and just change the expiry year on your new card.
During the card expiry month, your payment card details are locked and cannot be changed until the first day of the following month, which is when the automatic update is complete. If your card has a new number or expiry date, you can update these details on or after the first day of the new month.
If you’re concerned that an auto-payment may fail, you can make a manual payment at any time using your new card or a different payment card.
